Job summary

Inn Collection Group is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to keep our inns safe, comfortable and in excellent condition. You will perform daily checks on boilers, electrical systems and fire safety equipment, replace bulbs, and ensure fire doors are secure.

You’ll also inspect roofs and gutters, maintain outdoor spaces, and handle both planned and unplanned maintenance with a proactive, can-do attitude.

Qualifications

• Experience in building maintenance or facilities upkeep.
• Basic plumbing, electrical and joinery skills.
• Interest in safety compliance and regular inspections.

Responsibilities

• Daily checks on boilers, electrical systems and fire safety equipment.
• Inspect and replace light bulbs; secure fire doors.
• Regular inspections of roofs, gutters and walkways to address hazards.
• Maintenance of outdoor areas including gardening and external housekeeping.
• Record and report issues; carry out planned maintenance like painting and grouting; handle unplanned repairs.

Your responsibilities include daily checks on boilers, electrical systems, and fire safety equipment, along with inspecting and replacing light bulbs and securing fire doors. You’ll conduct regular inspections of roofs, gutters, and walkways to address hazards and maintain outdoor areas, including gardening and external housekeeping.
