Job summary

The Inn Collection Group in Tynemouth seeks a Maintenance Assistant to keep our pub-restaurant and surrounding facilities safe, comfortable and in excellent condition. You’ll perform daily checks on boilers, electrical systems and fire safety equipment, and carry out routine maintenance to gardens and outdoor areas on the coast.

You’ll tackle planned tasks like painting and grouting, and handle unplanned repairs with basic plumbing, electrical and joinery skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance roles across hospitality or similar settings.
• Ability to perform basic plumbing and electrical tasks safely.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Daily checks on boilers, electrical systems and fire safety equipment.
• Inspect and replace light bulbs and secure fire doors.
• Regular roof, gutter and walkway inspections to address hazards.
• Maintain outdoor areas and assist with gardening and external housekeeping.
• Handle planned maintenance like painting and grouting; perform unplanned repairs.
• Apply basic plumbing, electrical and joinery skills with a proactive approach.

Located in Tynemouth, it offers stunning views of the coastline and easy access to the seafront. The building houses a pub restaurant with 250 internal and 300 external covers, a fish and chip takeaway, and an ice cream and coffee parlour, adding to the vibrant coastal experience.

You’ll Fit Right Inn

As a Maintenance Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our facilities are safe, comfortable, and in excellent condition. Your responsibilities include daily checks on boilers, electrical systems, and fire safety equipment, along with inspecting and replacing light bulbs and securing fire doors. You’ll conduct regular inspections of roofs, gutters, and walkways to address hazards and maintain outdoor areas, including gardening and external housekeeping.

You’ll handle planned maintenance tasks like painting and grouting, as well as unplanned repairs.
