Job summary

Tadley Court School is recruiting a Maintenance Assistant to join a busy maintenance and grounds team. The role covers Tadley base and two children’s homes, with travel required and a vehicle provided. 18.75 hours per week, permanent contract, driving licence essential.

You will contribute basic carpentry and plumbing tasks, support with moving furniture and deliveries, and wear supplied uniform including safety footwear. Training and DBS checks are provided as part of a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• General maintenance skills including carpentry, plumbing and handyman tasks.
• Ability to move furniture and deliveries around the site as needed.
• A valid driving licence is essential for visits to two children's homes.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general maintenance tasks within Tadley base and on the two homes.
• Assist with furniture moves and deliveries around the site.
• Support the maintenance and grounds team as required.

Maintenance Assistant

Aspris are recruiting a Maintenance Assistant to join a busy and professional Maintenance and Grounds team. We are looking for an enthusiastic multitasker who can apply their current general maintenance skills to our children's homes. The role will require basic carpentry and plumbing skills and the ability to support with the moving of furniture and deliveries around the site as needed. Uniform including safety footwear will be provided.

You will be working from a base in Tadley and will travel to two children's homes, one in Old Basing and one in Theale. This role is 18.75 hours per week (2.5 days), 52 weeks per year. Please note that due to the nature of the role, a valid driving license is essential - A vehicle will be provided.

About the homes:

Linden House and Broadview are part of Aspris Children's Services, a UK-based organisation specialising in education and residential care for children and young people with complex needs. The homes primarily support children with moderate to severe autism, often accompanied by challenging behaviours and associated conditions such as ADHD and Tourette's Syndrome.
