Job summary

Haulfryn is recruiting a Maintenance and Grounds Person for Finlake Holiday Park. The role is full-time and based on site, with a £30,654 annual salary and 45 hours per week. You will maintain outdoor spaces, handle basic repairs, and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for guests and owners.

You’ll work with a close-knit team, benefit from ongoing training, and enjoy 30 days holiday plus extra company perks. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in grounds maintenance including mowing and hedge cutting.
• A practical approach to property maintenance and upkeep.
• A valid full UK driving licence.
• Awareness of Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices.
• Good customer service skills with a proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Mow, trim, hedge cut, weed spray, grit and general gardening to high standards.
• Carry out property maintenance tasks: basic repairs, plumbing, painting, decorating.
• Inspect and maintain hot tubs, ensuring cleaning, refilling and chemical checks.
• Identify and resolve maintenance issues across lodges and communal areas.
• Work with the team to maintain appearance and support development projects.
• Follow Health & Safety policies to ensure a safe workplace for staff and guests.

What You’ll Do

As a Maintenance and Grounds Person, you will:

• Carry out grounds maintenance to the highest standards, including mowing, trimming, hedge cutting, weed spraying, gritting, and general gardening
• Complete property maintenance tasks, including basic repairs, plumbing, painting, and decorating to keep the park and its facilities in excellent condition
• Inspect and maintain hot tubs, ensuring they are cleaned, refilled, and chemicals are checked daily
• Identify and proactively resolve maintenance issues across lodges and communal areas to uphold high presentation standards
• Work within a team to maintain the park’s appearance and functionality, supporting development projects as needed
• Follow Health & Safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for staff, guests, and owners

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking an enthusiastic, hands-on team player who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in their work. Ideally, you’ll have:

• Experience in grounds maintenance, including mowing, hedge cutting, and general landscaping
• A practical approach to property maintenance, with skills in basic repairs and upkeep
• A valid full UK driving licence
• Awareness of Health & Safety regulations and a commitment to working safely
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and proactive attitude
• Experience with grounds maintenance equipment is beneficial (spraying or tree work qualifications are a plus, but training will be provided if needed)
