Job summary

Eisai is seeking an Asset Maintenance Coordinator to ensure CMMS operates effectively across the pharmaceutical site at Hatfield. You will plan, coordinate and execute maintenance and facilities tasks, liaising with engineering, operations and QA to deliver work on time and in full compliance with GMP and Home Office requirements.

This role requires proven CMMS experience (Maximo, SAP, Hexagon, Concept), strong Excel skills for reporting, and a background in regulated environments, ideally in

Qualifications

  • Proven experience with CMMS in regulated environments.
  • Experience coordinating with engineering, operations and QA.
  • Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance strategies and asset lifecycle management.
  • Ability to create and interpret maintenance KPI reports.
  • Experience supporting audit readiness with proper documentation and records.
  • Proficient in MS Excel for reporting and data analysis.
  • Maintenance planning and scheduling in GMP contexts.
  • Understanding GMP and Home Office compliance for maintenance.
  • Experience in pharma or life sciences settings.
  • Familiar with validation/qualification of equipment and facilities.
  • Knowledge of change control, deviation and CAPA processes in GMP.
  • Exposure to engineering project coordination or shutdown planning.
  • Understanding asset reliability and performance monitoring techniques.
  • Experience training CMMS users and supporting system upgrades.
  • Awareness of EHS requirements in maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate maintenance activities across engineering, operations and quality teams.
  • Maintain and improve CMMS systems to ensure data integrity and regulatory compliance.
  • Plan and schedule maintenance work to ensure on-time closures and asset availability.
  • Produce maintenance performance reports and KPIs for leadership.
  • Support audit readiness with accurate system records and documentation.
  • Enable data-driven decision making to optimise asset performance.

Your new role

The maintenance and asset coordinatorwill ensure the effective operation and continuous improvement of the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS), supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of maintenance and facilities activities across the pharmaceutical site.

A key aspect of the role is proactive planning and collaboration with stakeholders to ensure maintenance activities are delivered and closed out on time, in full compliance with GMP standards, site procedures, and Home Office requirements.

This role acts as a central interface between engineering and operational teams, enabling data-driven decision-making, optimising asset performance, and supporting regulatory compliance through accurate system management and reporting.

What are we looking for?
  • Proven experience working with CMMS platforms (e.g., Maximo, SAP, Hexagon, Concept) in a regulated environment.
  • Experience in coordinating with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, and quality assurance.
  • Familiarity with preventive and corrective maintenance strategies, asset lifecycle management, and work order close-out processes.
  • Ability to produce and interpret maintenance performance reports and KPIs.
  • Experience supporting audit readiness through accurate documentation and system records.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, for reporting and data analysis.
  • Demonstrable experience in maintenance planning and scheduling within a regulated or GMP-compliant environment.
  • Strong understanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and Home Office compliance requirements related to maintenance and facilities.
  • Experience working in a pharmaceutical or life sciences environment.
  • Knowledge of validation and qualification processes related to equipment and facilities.
  • Familiarity with change control, deviation, and CAPA processes in a GMP setting.
  • Experience with continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Exposure to engineering project coordination or shutdown planning.
  • Understanding of asset reliability and performance monitoring tools or techniques.
  • Experience in training CMMS users and supporting system upgrades or implementations.
  • Working knowledge of EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) requirements related to maintenance activities.
