Job summary

Eisai Europe Limited in Hatfield is seeking a Mechanically biased Building Services Technician with electrical experience. You will ensure the reliable operation of site services and undertake scheduled maintenance across our European Knowledge Centre (EKC).

The ideal candidate will have a full-term apprenticeship in mechanical engineering, as well as electrical engineering qualifications. We offer a competitive salary and excellent benefits, including electric charging points for vehicles and a subsidised onsite restaurant.

Qualifications

• Experience working in controlled environments.
• Knowledge of water systems and water treatment.
• Flexibility to work outside standard office hours.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high standard mechanical and electrical services.
• Plan and undertake routine scheduled maintenance.
• Ensure reliable and compliant operation of equipment.

Skills

Electrical engineering (BS7671 & C&G 2391)

Mechanical engineering (full-term apprenticeship)

Good verbal and written English skills

Use of computer (Windows operating system)

Good awareness of Health and Safety

Multi-Skilled in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering

Experience in domestic and low temperature hot water systems (LTHW)

Motor controls and relay logic

AHU’s, FCU’s, and chilled water systems

Ability to interpret technical drawings

Education

Educated to ONC/HNC

Tools

Experience of CMMS and BMS systems

Working knowledge of 'Safe systems of work'

Your new role

We are looking for a Mechanically biased Building Services Technician with some Electrical experience who will report to the Estates Engineering Manager. This role has responsibility for the reliable and compliant operation of the estate wide services and equipment serving all business functions across the European Knowledge Centre (EKC) facility at Hatfield.

The main purpose is to deliver a high standard of mechanical and electrical services throughout the EKC business, within the estates engineering team. To plan and undertake routine scheduled maintenance of plant and/or equipment with stakeholders, causing minimal disruption.

Staggered working hours - 07:00-16:00 or 09:30-18:00

On-CallAllowance
Mon‑Sat x1.5 basic hourly rate
Sun & BH x2 basic hourly rate (plus TOIL if working a BH)

• Electrical engineering, equivalent (BS7671 & C&G 2391)-Essential
