Achieving for Children in Maidenhead is recruiting for a brand new housing team to support care leavers in our in-house supported accommodation provision. The central Maidenhead location will house 20 care leavers on a step-down provision, operational from October 2026.

You will be the first point of contact at night, delivering a friendly welcome and supporting residents to move towards independent living.

Qualifications

• GCSE level education required.
• Relevant professional qualification in working with children or young people or in supported housing is desirable.
• Be able to assess risk and generate solutions to problems, including effective mediation.
• Commitment to the protection and safeguarding of young people.
• Ability to identify and record safeguarding issues.
• Ability to work unsociable hours including lone working.
• Ability to carry out cleaning tasks and Health & Safety checks.

Responsabilités

• Ensure the safety of our young people and the security of the building.
• Provide emotional support and a compassionate ear to our residents.
• Reception duties including taking telephone calls, handling mail, taking rent payments, guest management.
• Deal with noise complaints and report safeguarding concerns.
• Act as fire marshal and first aider to ensure safety and evacuation processes are followed.
