Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to join the Macular team. The role focuses on delivering seamless ophthalmic care, supporting intra vitreal injections, acquiring OCT scans, and recording visual acuity.

You will advocate for patients and help guide their care pathway across Wonford, Heavitree and community sites. The post offers a 28.5-hour week, Monday to Friday, with comprehensive NHS benefits and training.

Responsibilities

• Support the Macular Practitioner team to deliver ophthalmic care to macular and medical retinal patients.
• Provide in-procedure room support for intra vitreal injections, obtain OCT scans, and record visual acuity using logMAR charts.
• Act as the patient advocate and support the patient pathway journey.
• Collaborate with the clinical team to deliver robust care at WEEU Wonford, Heavitree and community sites.
