Job summary

McLaren Racing in the United Kingdom is seeking a Machining Support Engineer to join a skilled team delivering precision-engineered metallic components that drive performance on track. Qualifications

Experience in a high-technology, small-batch precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
A proven track record of cross-functional liaison and delivery management.
Experience working effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, with excellent knowledge of MRP and MES systems.
Experience introducing new working practices to support world-class manufacturing.
An understanding of Continuous Improvement methodologies and control mechanisms.

Responsibilities

Schedule and accept work into the Machine Shop based on plans and capacity.
Support Shift Leads and Team Leaders to ensure right first time delivery.
Provide reliable set and run time estimates and review timings for planning.
Identify and plan raw materials, gauges, cutters and fixtures early.
Communicate critical information to Process Engineers and support improvement projects.
Contribute to MRP and MES improvements and share risks and opportunities in meetings.
