Job summary

McLaren Racing Ltd is seeking a Machining Support Engineer to help optimize the flow of work into the Machine Shop, supporting planning and manufacturing engineering for efficient progression of car components and pit equipment. You will contribute to quality and OEE targets while collaborating across teams in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires experience in precision manufacturing, strong communication, and hands-on involvement with MRP/MES systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in a high-technology, small-batch precision environment.
• Proven liaison and delivery management across functions.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting.
• Strong command of MS Office with MRP/MES knowledge.
• Experience introducing new practices to support world-class manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and accept work into the Machine Shop in line with project plans and capacity.
• Collaborate with Shift Leads to support first-time-right delivery.
• Provide reliable set and run time estimates and analyse timings.
• Ensure materials, gauges, cutters and fixtures are planned early.
• Communicate critical information to Process Engineers and support improvements.
• Contribute data to enhance MRP and MES systems and raise team performance.
