Job summary

SER Limited in Brecon seeks a Workshop Operative to join its production team, supporting the manufacture, assembly and testing of new machinery and spare parts. The role is site-based with occasional travel to customer or supplier sites and a focus on delivering high-quality workmanship in a busy engineering environment.

You will work from 08:00–16:30 Monday to Thursday and 08:00–15:30 on Friday, with a comprehensive benefits package including pension, life and medical insurance, and birthday

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 GCSEs or equivalent (grade C or above).
• Experience in engineering/manufacturing environment desirable.
• Good understanding of engineering and manufacturing processes.
• Health and safety awareness or formal training in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture and assemble new machines and spare parts on the shop floor.
• Use tools and production equipment safely and effectively.
• Test new machines before dispatch and ensure quality checks.
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
• Support continuous improvement across manufacturing operations and assist apprentices.
