GLASGOW CITY COUNCIL AND ARMS LENGTH ORGANISATION is seeking an experienced Training Instructor to join the Neighbourhoods, Regeneration and Sustainability training team. The role delivers high-quality training and assessment for machinery and small plant operations, ensuring learners achieve competence in line with industry standards and health & safety legislation.

The position requires delivering practical and theoretical training, assessing learner competence in workplace and training

Responsibilities

• Deliver practical and theoretical training on machinery and small plant equipment
• Assess learner competence in the workplace and training environments
• Conduct NVQ/SVQ assessments within the area of operation
• Develop training materials and lesson plans aligned to awarding body criteria
• Ensure all training complies with current health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Maintain accurate assessment, learner progress, and compliance records
• Provide constructive feedback and support to learners
• Liaise with employers, training managers, and awarding bodies as required
• Keep technical knowledge and instructional skills up to date
