Job summary

ASC Connections in the West Midlands is seeking an experienced CNC Applications Engineer to join an established engineering business. You will move beyond production-focused CNC work into programming, process development, testing, commissioning and customer support.

This permanent, full-time role offers £40,000–£45,000 per year, generous opportunities to travel internationally, and a varied mix of hands-on CNC and applications engineering responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Strong CNC programming and setting experience.
• Experience with multi-axis CNC machinery.
• Reading engineering drawings to tight tolerances.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems.
• Willing to travel internationally when required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, write and optimise CNC programs.

• Produce sample components from engineering drawings.

Join an established engineering business offering an opportunity for an experienced CNC professional to move into a varied Applications Engineer position. This role would suit someone with strong CNC programming and setting experience who enjoys solving technical problems and wants more variety than a traditional production-based CNC position.

You'll work across programming, process development, machine testing, commissioning and customer support, with opportunities to travel internationally as part of the role. Based in the West Midlands, this is a permanent position offering a salary of £40,000 - £45,000.

CNC Applications Engineer Responsibilities

• Comfortable dealing directly with customers and explaining technical information.
• Willing and able to travel internationally when required.
• Previous applications, commissioning or customer-facing experience would be beneficial but isn’t essential for someone with the right CNC background.
