Job summary

DK Recruitment is seeking an apprentice-trained CNC professional to join a technical team supporting customers across the UK. The role focuses on programming, machining and sharing knowledge to help customers get the best from their equipment.

This field-based position requires problem-solving, strong communication, and willingness to travel nationwide with occasional overnight stays. Full training will be provided to develop your skills and support career progression.

Qualifications

• Minimum four-year apprenticeship in an engineering discipline.
• Proven CNC programming and machining experience.
• Confident understanding of machine tools and machining processes.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships with customers.
• Practical, solutions-focused approach to technical challenges.
• Flexibility to travel nationwide and stay away overnight when required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver training to customers on the operation and capabilities of a range of CNC machine tools.
• Support customers in understanding their equipment and making the most of its capabilities.
• Demonstrate machinery to prospective customers and existing clients.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and help customers identify effective solutions.
• Provide applications advice and technical support when required.
• Gather customer feedback and report recurring issues to support continuous improvement.
• Recommend machining process improvements to increase efficiency, productivity and cost-effectiveness.
