Our client is a small precision engineering company based in Birmingham. Established for over 70 years, this family-run business has been successfully involved in low volume/prototype manufacturing parts to a variety of industries. They employ 10 staff and offer both CNC and conventional machining. They are now looking to recruit a Machine Shop Manager who has operated in a similar capacity and is seeking a new challenge.

This is an excellent opportunity to take full ownership of a hands-on Production Manager role, overseeing a team of 7 CNC/Conventional machinists, driving day-to-day operations, and ensuring high standards across new projects and modifications. The Role

• Managing new jobs through to completion
• Ordering materials and liaising with suppliers
• Dealing with customers
• Looking at business strategy

• Working on Autocad when new jobs come in

The Candidate

• Production / Machine Shop Managerial experience
• High level experience within a tooling OR machining environment
• Strong communicator with leadership or supervisory experience
