Job summary

A La Carte (Staffline) Leicester is seeking a Machine Operator for our meat and food production site in Leicester (LE1). You will operate and maintain production machinery in a chilled environment, handling raw and cooked meats.

The role offers temp-to-perm progression, full training, on-site support, and convenient on-site parking. Join a busy team focused on quality, safety, and efficiency, where attention to detail and teamwork help meet daily production targets while ensuring food safety

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Set up and pre-start checks for production equipment.
• Operate and monitor production lines and support operatives to hit targets.
• Collaborate with Team Leaders to maintain smooth line operations and productivity.
• Perform quality checks and ensure food safety standards are met throughout the shift.
• Accurately complete production documentation and CCP records.
• Monitor quality, identify issues and minimise waste and downtime.
• Follow health, safety and hygiene procedures at all times.

We are recruiting for a Machine Operator Role to work in food manufacturing site based in Leicester town LE1 . This is your chance to be part of a leading British food business producing some of the nation's favourite sausages, cooked meats and Pate.

As Machine operator, job will involve operating and maintaining machinery used in the production and processing of food.

This role involves working in chilled environment and handling of Raw and cooked meat of all sorts

Your Time at Work

As a Machine operator, your duties will include:

• Conduct machine set-up and pre-start checks, ensuring equipment is ready for production and materials are available to meet daily production schedules.
• Operate and monitor production lines efficiently while supporting and guiding production operatives to achieve performance targets.
• Work closely with Team Leaders to maintain smooth line operations and maximise productivity.
• Perform continuous quality checks throughout the shift to ensure products meet company and food safety standards.
• Complete production documentation accurately, including CCP (Critical Control Point) records and quality control paperwork.
• Monitor product quality, identify issues promptly, and take corrective action to minimise waste and production downtime.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene, and food manufacturing procedures at all times.
