Job summary

Dalziel Ingredients Ltd is seeking a Machine Operative for our Chesterfield site to operate high-speed production lines and uphold food safety and quality standards.

You will set up machinery, perform routine changeovers, lift and pack goods, inspect for defects, and work closely with the team to meet daily targets while maintaining rigorous hygiene practices.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a machine operator.
• Physically fit and able to handle the demands of the role.
• Excellent personal hygiene practices.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery in a high-paced manufacturing environment.
• Heavy lifting and packing materials as part of production.
• Set up machines for production cycles and adjust as needed.
• Inspect machinery for defects and ensure optimal performance.
• Conduct effective line changeovers between production runs.

Hours Of Work

• Shift 1: Monday to Friday / 6.00am to 2.00pm
• Shift 2: Monday to Friday / 2.00pm to 10.00pm

Location of Work:

• Chesterfield, S41 9RD

Machine Operative Duties

As a Machine Operative, you will be responsible for operating machinery in a high-paced manufacturing environment. Your duties will include heavy lifting, packing materials, setting up machines for production cycles, inspecting machinery for defects, and conducting effective line changeovers. Adhering to strict hygiene procedures to ensure food safety is paramount as you work collaboratively within the team.
