Job summary

Pertemps Heathrow is recruiting a Factory Operative to join a globally recognised manufacturing business with long-term career prospects, full training and a busy production environment.

The successful candidate will operate machinery, load/unload, carry out quality checks and maintain safety standards while completing production records. Full training provided; forklift experience is advantageous, with potential Saturday overtime depending on workload.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Load and unload production machinery.
• Set and operate machinery, adjust cutting blades, tension and brake settings.
• Carry out quality checks throughout production.
• Make adjustments to machinery as required.
• Unload, clean and label finished products.
• Complete production records using a computerised system.
• Maintain a clean and tidy working environment.
• Use lifting equipment and reach trucks where required.
• Support the wider production team with additional duties.

We are currently recruiting for a Factory Operative to join a globally recognised international business with an established presence across multiple countries. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating machinery and preparing products to customer specifications while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading production machinery
• Setting and operating machinery, including adjusting cutting blades, tension and brake settings
• Carrying out quality checks throughout the production process
• Making adjustments to machinery where required
• Unloading, cleaning and labelling finished products
• Completing production records using a computerised system
• Maintaining a clean and tidy working environment
• Using lifting equipment and reach trucks where required
• Supporting the wider production team with additional duties as required

What we are looking for:

• The ability to work safely within a busy factory environment

• The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Good manual dexterity
• A willingness to learn new skills
• Good levels of English and numeracy
• Basic IT skills
• The ability to carry out manual handling duties safely

Previous manufacturing or machine operating experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Forklift experience would also be advantageous.

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, initally working a day shit with the potential of working on a shift pattern. Occasional Saturday overtime may be available depending on business requirements.
