Job summary

JDR Recruitment is recruiting for a Production Bottling Operator in the Paste Bottling area on rolling 6-2/2-10 shifts. You will cover the Team Leader and support the Bottling Hall to ensure safe, hygienic and efficient production that meets quality targets.

The role requires FMCG/GMP experience, machinery operation skills, and a proactive, collaborative approach to help lead and organize operators across shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience in fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) production environments.
• GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) experience is required.
• Experience with machine operation and packaging processes.

Responsibilities

• Support and cover the Team Leader during day-to-day production activities.
• Provide support to other team members within the Bottling Hall (Paste).
• Operate all machinery within the area as needed and rotate as required.
• Ensure production is safe, hygienic, efficient and cost-effective.
• Maintain quality, specification and quantity targets.
• Record and monitor key performance indicators and communicate issues.

Our successful Manufacturer/Supplier Client are looking to expand their workforce due to high customer demands.

As a member of the Cover Team, you will:

• Support and cover the Team Leader during day-to-day operations and periods of absence
• Provide support to other team members within the Bottling Hall (Paste)
• Be flexible and able to operate all machinery within the area
• Rotate across the area to ensure production is:
• Safe
• Hygienic
• Efficient
• Cost-effective
• Completed to the required quality, specification and quantity

Key Responsibilities:

When providing cover, you will:

• Support the Team Leader with day-to-day production activities
• Promote and maintain high standards of:
• Health & Safety
• GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice)
• Food Safety
• Continuous Improvement (CI)
• Support with ordering ingredients and packaging materials
• Identify and communicate mechanical issues that may affect production performance
• Record and monitor OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness)
• Take appropriate action to resolve production issues
• Maintain clear and effective communication across the team
• Help supervise and organise the team of Multi-Skilled Operators
• Ensure all relevant Critical Control Points (CCPs) for the production line are understood and followed

Requirements:

The successful candidate will be:

• Flexible and willing to support different areas when required
• Organised and conscientious, with strong attention to detail
• Confident and competent in operating machinery
• Able to work accurately and follow procedures
• Comfortable completing paperwork and carrying out calculations
• Numerate and literate, with a high level of accuracy
• A good communicator who works well collaboratively with operatives, Team Leaders, and other members of the production team
• Able to demonstrate a good understanding of Food Safety and HACCP requirements
• Confident in taking responsibility and helping to lead and organise others
