Job summary

The Best Connection in Gillingham is seeking Machine Operatives for a long-term manufacturing role. You will receive full training with a 4-week day shift (07:30-15:00 Mon-Thu, 07:30-14:30 Fri) before transitioning to permanent PM shift (15:30-23:30 Mon-Thu, 15:00-22:30 Fri). Overtime is regularly available with enhanced rates.

No prior machine operating experience is required, and PPE is provided. You will operate and load production machinery, assemble diesel pump components, perform quality

• Willingness to learn new skills and work on a permanent late shift after training.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.

Machine Operatives required

Are you looking for a long-term opportunity with full training, regular overtime, and excellent earning potential? We are currently recruiting Machine Operatives to join a busy and well-established manufacturing company in Gillingham.

No previous machine operating experience is required as full training will be provided.

Training Period

4 weeks on day shift

• Monday to Thursday: 07:30 - 15:00
• Friday: 07:30 - 14:30

Permanent PM Shift After Training pay £13.92 an hour

• Monday to Thursday: 15:30 - 23:30
• Friday: 15:00 - 22:30

Pay & Overtime

Overtime is regularly available and paid at enhanced rates:

• Time and a half after 37 hours worked
• Saturdays and Bank Holidays paid at time and a half
• Sundays paid at double time

Key Responsibilities

• Operating and loading production machinery (full training provided)
• Assembling components for diesel pumps
• Quality checking finished products
• Packing parts ready for dispatch
• Working safely and efficiently within a manufacturing environment
• Working with oils and diesel products in certain departments (full PPE provided)
