Job summary

The Best Connection is recruiting Machine Operatives in Gillingham for a busy manufacturing site. You will receive full training during a four-week onboarding period on day shifts, with progression to a permanent PM shift after training.

The role involves operating and loading production machinery, assembling diesel pump components, quality checking finished products, packing parts for dispatch and maintaining safe, clean working practices while handling oils and diesel products with full PPE.

Qualifications

• A positive and reliable attitude.
• Good attention to detail.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Previous manufacturing or production experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Willingness to learn new skills and work on a permanent late shift after training.

Responsibilities

• Operating and loading production machinery (full training provided).
• Assembling components for diesel pumps.
• Quality checking finished products.
• Packing parts ready for dispatch.
• Working safely and efficiently within a manufacturing environment.
• Working with oils and diesel products in certain departments (full PPE provided).
