Job summary

The Best Connection is recruiting Machine Operatives in Gillingham for a busy manufacturing site. You will receive full training during a four-week onboarding period on day shifts, with progression to a permanent PM shift after training.

The role involves operating and loading production machinery, assembling diesel pump components, quality checking finished products, packing parts for dispatch and maintaining safe, clean working practices while handling oils and diesel products with full PPE.

Qualifications

• A positive and reliable attitude.
• Good attention to detail.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Previous manufacturing or production experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Willingness to learn new skills and work on a permanent late shift after training.

Machine Operatives required

Are you looking for a long-term opportunity with full training, regular overtime, and excellent earning potential? We are currently recruiting Machine Operatives to join a busy and well-established manufacturing company in Gillingham.

No previous machine operating experience is required as full training will be provided.

Training Period

4 weeks on day shift

• Monday to Thursday: 07:30 - 15:00
• Friday: 07:30 - 14:30

Permanent PM Shift After Training pay £13.92 an hour

• Monday to Thursday: 15:30 - 23:30
• Friday: 15:00 - 22:30

Pay & Overtime

Overtime is regularly available and paid at enhanced rates:

• Time and a half after 37 hours worked
• Saturdays and Bank Holidays paid at time and a half
• Sundays paid at double time
