Job summary

RiverRidge seeks a Machine Operative for its Materials Recovery Facility at Maydown. You will operate machines including forklifts, diggers and loading shovels, complying with H&S standards and company procedures during shifts that may include Saturdays.

The role requires a valid licences for one of the listed machines, plus experience in the waste sector. You will report to the MRF Supervisor and contribute to safe, efficient operations with a strong focus on housekeeping and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid licence and experience operating one of the following machines: Telescopic forklift, Digger or Loading shovel.
• Experience in Waste industry is preferred.
• Eligibility to work in the UK must be documented.

Responsibilities

• Operate various machines in the MRF, including mobile machinery such as forklifts and loading shovels.
• Report any machine issues immediately to the MRF Supervisor/Operations Manager.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety standards and company SOPs at all times.
• Wear appropriate PPE at all times and maintain cleanliness and housekeeping throughout the shift.
• Be prepared to perform other duties as delegated by Management.

We are looking to appoint Machine Operative for our Materials Recovery Facility (MRF), at our RiverRidge site in Maydown.

• Operating various machines within the MRF to include mobile machinery such as forklifts and Loading Shovels.
• Report immediately any issues with Machines to MRF Supervisor / Operations Manager
• Ensure compliance with statutory and company obligations, & Health & Safety standards are maintained at all times.
• Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times
• Ensure all Machines on site comply with the relevant H&S standards and company standard operating procedures.
• Ensuring the facility & its equipment is kept clean and tidy, with importance placed on housekeeping/cleaning throughout the shift (will include working at height)
• Any other duties as delegated by the Management.
• Must have a valid licence and experience of operating one of the following machines: Telescopic Forklift, Digger or Loading shovel
