Job summary

AMFRESH Group in Peterborough is seeking a Machine Operator to join our production team on a permanent basis. The role offers weekly pay and a 4-on, 4-off shift pattern from 05:45 to 18:15, with progression opportunities as you develop your skills within a large global fresh produce business.

You will help keep production lines running safely and efficiently, handle changeovers, check labels, monitor performance, and support new starters as they learn the role.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating machinery is helpful, but not essential.

About The Role

We are recruiting for a Machine Operator at our Peterborough site. This permanent, weekly-paid role offers reliable hours, consistent work and opportunities to develop your skills within a large global fresh produce business.

• Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off – 05:45–18:15
• Hourly Rate: £13.70, paid weekly – starting salary with progression available

As a Machine Operator, you will help keep our production lines running safely and efficiently, ensuring our products meet customer requirements. Your responsibilities will include:

• Operating production machinery and keeping equipment clean and safe throughout your shift.
• Completing changeovers and checking labels to ensure products are correctly packed.
• Monitoring machine performance and working with your team to meet production targs.
• Supporting new starters as they learn the role.

About You

You will take pride in doing a good job, enjoy working as part of a team and be willing to learn. Previous experience operating machinery in a production environment is helpful, but not essential.
