Job summary

Pilgrim's Europe is seeking a Machine Minder / Machine Operator to monitor the production process of primary poultry products and ensure it meets product and customer specifications within tight deadlines.

The role involves setting up and operating process machinery, working nights (Sunday to Thursday, 22:00-06:30), and liaising with the Operations Team Lead and other staff to achieve targets. Location: Ashbourne, UK.

Machine Minder / Machine Operator

We’re looking for an experienced Machine Minder / Machine Operator to monitor and assess the production process of primary poultry products within required product and customer specifications and to tight deadlines.

As a Machine Minder, you will be required to work as a member of a team of operatives (varying in size) reporting to the Operations Team Lead. You will be responsible for the set-up and effective operation of process machinery in order to achieve production targets and quality standards.

Effective liaison, teamwork and interaction with other operatives and supervisory staff is fundamental.

Location: Blenheim Rd, Ashbourne, DE6 1HA

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Shift: Nights, Sunday to Thursday, 22:00-06:30

Pay Rate: £16.30 - £16.95 per hour

• Comfortable working in a lairage environment involving live birds
• Ideally hold FLT (Fork Lift Truck) experience

• Willing to develop knowledge and understanding of animal welfare and site procedures
