Job summary

Ad Warrior Ltd is seeking a Machine Minder in the Doncaster area to oversee the setup and operation of production machinery, ensuring targets and quality standards are met. The role includes pre-start checks, schedule monitoring, and teamwork with the Production Supervisor and Engineering.

Responsibilities include fault diagnosis, timely maintenance reporting, line cleaning, and training new staff while maintaining a safe, hygienic workplace.

Qualifications

• Operates production machinery and performs routine checks.
• Ensures adherence to health & safety, food safety, and quality requirements.
• Able to monitor schedules and adjust machines as needed.
• Communicates with supervisors and engineering for fault fixing and handover.

Machine Minder

Location: Coulman Road, Thorne, Doncaster, South Yorkshire

Salary: £13.60 per hour (Weekly paid, one hour for lunch unpaid)

Hours: 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday - overtime available various shifts.

To take responsibility for the setup and effective operation of production machinery, this role plays a key role in ensuring that production targets are met and that all products meet our high-quality standards.

Duties:

• Complete pre-start checks in line with H&S, food safety, SKU and quality requirements prior to commencing production.
• Monitor production schedules and ensure changes to the machine are made promptly.
• Liaising with the Production Supervisor / Line Leader for breaks and changeovers to maximise equipment.
• Monitor outputs, maintain routine checks and report to Line Manager any issues arising.
• Conduct alongside Engineering team Fault diagnosis and problem solving.
• Reporting promptly any maintenance issues to the Engineering Department.
• Ensure production targets and quality standards are consistently achieved.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic working environment.
• Conduct line cleaning to required specifications.
• Conduct a thorough handover during shift finish.
• Train other/new team members when required, (upon achieving the relevant competency).
• Learn other plant and equipment when requested.
• Follow all Health & Safety procedures without exception.
