Job summary

Ad Warrior Ltd. is seeking a Machine Minder to operate and set up production machinery at Coulman Road, Thorne, Doncaster. The role supports meeting production targets while upholding quality standards.

You will perform pre-start checks, monitor schedules, and coordinate with supervisors for breaks and line changeovers. Ongoing training on additional equipment is available and encouraged to ensure safe, efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in setting up and operating production machinery.
• Ability to follow health and safety and quality procedures.
• Willingness to train others and learn additional plant equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-start checks in line with H&S, food safety, SKU and quality.
• Monitor production schedules and adjust machine settings as needed.
• Coordinate with Line Leader for breaks and changeovers to maximise efficiency.
• Maintain outputs, perform routine checks, report issues promptly.
• Assist with fault diagnosis and problem solving with Engineering.
• Report maintenance issues to Engineering promptly.
• Ensure targets and quality standards are met consistently.
• Keep the work area clean, safe, and hygienic.
• Conduct line cleaning and thorough handovers at shift end.
• Train new team members as competency is achieved.
• Learn other plant/equipment on request.

Machine Minder

Location: Coulman Road, Thorne, Doncaster, South Yorkshire

Salary: £13.60 per hour (Weekly paid, one hour for lunch unpaid)

Hours: 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday - overtime available various shifts.

To take responsibility for the setup and effective operation of production machinery, this role plays a key role in ensuring that production targets are met and that all products meet our high-quality standards.

Duties:

• Complete pre-start checks in line with H&S, food safety, SKU and quality requirements prior to commencing production.
• Monitor production schedules and ensure changes to the machine are made promptly.
• Liaising with the Production Supervisor / Line Leader for breaks and changeovers to maximise equipment.
• Monitor outputs, maintain routine checks and report to Line Manager any issues arising.
• Conduct alongside Engineering team Fault diagnosis and problem solving.
• Reporting promptly any maintenance issues to the Engineering Department.
• Ensure production targets and quality standards are consistently achieved.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic working environment.
• Conduct line cleaning to required specifications.
• Conduct a thorough handover during shift finish.
• Train other/new team members when required, (upon achieving the relevant competency).
• Learn other plant and equipment when requested.
• Follow all Health & Safety procedures without exception.
