2 Sisters Food Group Limited is seeking Sealing Machine Minders to join our Portions teams. You will operate Proseal/Bizerba sealing machines, ensure packaging accuracy and complete required paperwork to meet customer specifications.

These permanent roles run Monday to Friday with early morning shifts, offering an attractive hourly rate and opportunities for overtime, development, and staff discounts through our employee platform.

• The hours of work and shift patterns available is: 5:30am - 2:30pm (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday), 5:30am - 1:30pm (Tuesday)

£13.79per hour

The main responsibilities for the Portions Sealing Machine Minder will include:

• Make sure the Proseal/Bizerba machines in the sealing room run correctly when packaging retail products.
• Doing the required paperwork
• Following procedures

Product quality is everyone’s responsibility, and the highest standards of quality must be maintained throughout all stages of the manufacturing process.

In your specific role this includes carrying out tasks in line with documented procedures and ensuring the products that we produce meet customer specifications.

You will consistently refer to the relevant customer specification sheets to ensure that the portions / products that are being packed are in accordance with the agreed weight and size parameters and that there are no visible quality issues with the product e.g. excessive bruising, poor cutting standards, bone fragments, or excess fat

You are responsible for identifying and reporting any product defects or deviations to specifications and removing those products from the line. This should also include a root cause analysis to help identify what caused the quality issue. You will also coach others to ensure they fully understand and adhere to the relevant customer specification sheets

Qualifications

• Reasonable standard of written and spoken English
• Ability to respond calmly to unplanned events
• Work well in a team
• Work well in a pressurised environment and be committed to meeting targets/deadlines
