Job summary

2 Sisters Food Group Amber Team is seeking a Supervisor to join the Flixton site. The role runs 05:00–15:30 across six days as scheduled, with Sundays not included. Pay rates start at £17.80 per hour and the supervisor will ensure GMP/SOP compliance, safety, and production targets are met.

The successful candidate will lead a line, coordinate with the By-Products team, manage agency staff, and uphold food safety and quality standards while driving continuous improvement across the operation.

The hours of work and shift patterns are:

05:00am to 15:30pm working across 6 days as scheduled below. Note this is not inclusive of Sundays.

The rates of pay are: £17.80ph

Qualifications

Our Supervisor's responsibilities will be :

• Ensure that the site is legally & contractually compliant in all areas and actively promote health & safety and Food Safety, immediately halting any unsafe working practice & taking appropriate action to remedy.
• Demonstrate good knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Actively take ownership & accountability of line/area.
• Ensure daily pre-start checks are conducted in the area of responsibility and issues reported in a timely manner to By Product Manager or the site team as appropriate.
• Achieve planned production throughput
• Monitor the ongoing progress of the operation, liaising with fellow supervisors, BPM and other departments as necessary to alleviate and resolve issues.
• Working with the By-Products Management team to plan efficient export schedules.
• Ensuring bulkers are placed by the correct gantry, not overloaded and that all products are correctly certified for their export destination.
• Ensuring correct control of temperatures on all exportable products.
• Oversee the dolav production area, making sure product meets customer specification, is in the correct dolav and that correct tipping procedure is followed.
• Oversee loading of chilled blood and viscera tankers liaising with third party drivers as required.
• Liaise with agency to order agency workers.
• Follow all safe-working practices, halting any unsafe working practices.
• Ensure that all areas of training in basic food hygiene, health and safety and product quality are adhered to.
• At all times act in the best interests of 2SFG, its employees, its brands, 2SFG customers and the final consumers of the products manufactured by 2SFG. Participate in developing and embedding a quality focused culture of behavioural food safety to enable continuous improvement to standards
• Undertake such other duties as may be reasonably required for the effective operation of the factory and unit, these may not be office and/or admin based and may involve working on the production line/yard areas.

• Be a confident decision maker and can challenge the status quo.
• Ensure total legal compliance in all areas of H&S, Technical and people, as well as living the organisation's values and competencies.
