Job summary

2 Sisters Food Group is seeking General Operatives to join the Amber team at Willand in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. The role focuses on safe knife use, GMP adherence, and contributing to daily targets while maintaining high hygiene and quality standards.

The successful candidate will work with a team, communicate effectively with colleagues and management, and be prepared to operate in a busy production setting with tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Maintain Health and Safety standards in accordance with Company Policy and all relevant legislative documents.
• Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices are adhered to in full and maintain a clean as you go approach.
• Minimise the risk of product contamination and maintain high hygiene standards.

• Minimise waste through good cutting practices.
• Carry out required functions in the cutting hall once trained.
• Adhere to training in basic food hygiene, health and safety and product quality.

The hours of work and shift patterns are:

Monday 05:30-14:30

Tuesday 05:30-13:30

The rates of pay are: £13.26

Qualifications

Main Responsibilities

• Maintain Health and Safety standards in accordance with Company Policy and all relevant legislative documentation – actively encouraging health and safety awareness with other operatives maintaining a safe working environment.
• Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices are adhered to in full – actively encouraging the ‘clean as you go’ philosophy.
• Ensure work practices minimise the risk of product contamination.
• Safe use of knives, maintaining health and safety standards
• Must be able to contribute towards achieving the product targets set for the day by working at a consistent work rate
• Must be aware of the surrounding environment and the potential hazards that could cause harm to themselves or their peers
• Must ensure that waste is kept to a minimum through a good quality of cut
• Correctly and effectively carry out the required functions, once trained to do so, in the cutting hall
• Ensure that all areas of training in basic food hygiene, health and safety and product quality are adhered to
• Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and presentation during working hours

Ability to use a knife or willing to learn – full training will be provided

To work as part of a team and effectively communicate with all colleagues and Management staff
