Job summary

2 Sisters Food Group in Thetford is hiring Machine Minders to join our production team on a 4ON 4OFF pattern. The role covers machine setup, label changes, quality checks and ensuring efficiency while maintaining GMP and health & safety standards.

You will work in a modern chilled food environment, with shifts AM or PM on a 0600-1800 or 1800-0600 schedule and a base rate of £14.88 per hour plus a 10% night shift allowance (£16.37). Training provided and progression opportunities exist.

Qualifications

• Good standard of spoken and written English
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
• Experience with problem solving and accuracy
• Comfortable in a chilled food processing environment
• Able to work at pace and take initiative

Responsibilities

• Carry out machine set up and prestart checks; ensure machine is safe to operate
• Carry out label and film roll changes
• Carry out label print and verification checks, final product quality inspection
• Ensure machine operates at maximum efficiency and follows Standard Running Conditions
• Maintain GMP, hygiene and Health & Safety standards
• Support FLM to deliver production plan and required quality
• May set up and monitor equipment, fill machines, manage paperwork, decant ingredients, use SAP

We currently have exciting opportunities for Machine Minder's to join our team in Thetford

We have the following 4ON 4OFF shifts available:

Packing AM 0600 - 1800 OR PM 1800 - 0600

£14.88 + 10% Night Shift Allowance between 10pm - 6am (£16.37)

As a Machine Minder your main responsibilities will be to:

• Carry out machine set up and prestart checks; ensure machine is safe to operate
• Carry out label and film roll changes
• Carry out label print and verification checks, final product quality inspection
• Ensure machine is operating at maximum efficiency and followStandard Running Conditions set out by the department
• Ensure workplace maintains high standards of GMP and hygiene & Health and Safety
• Support FLM to ensure smooth and safe delivery of production plan and carrying required quality

Other tasks may include setting up and monitoring equipment, filling machines, paperwork, decanting ingredients, using the SAP system.

Qualifications

Our ideal Machine Minder will have:

• Passion for delivering our customer orders whilst making sure our high Health and Safety, Food Safety and Product Quality standards are met.
• A good standard of spoken and written English and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively
• Experience of problem solving and attention to detail
• You will be comfortable working in a chilled food processing environment.
• You will need to enjoy working at pace and have a keenness to take action and achieve results in a fast moving business.
• Previous experience working in a factory or warehouse environment would be useful, but not essential, as full training will be provided.
