Job summary

Just Temps, outskirts of Ipswich in Hadleigh, Suffolk, is looking for an experienced Machine Minder to join a well-established manufacturing business. This full-time, temp-to-perm role offers hours 8:30am-5pm, Monday to Friday, with a pay rate of £12.71-£13.08 per hour and an approximate £26,000 per annum once permanent.

You will operate and monitor filling machines, carry out setting adjustments, support with set-ups, handle tubes from 3ml to 200ml, check quality, label and pack products, and

Qualifications

• Previous production, manufacturing or machine minding experience is essential.
• Must hold a full driving licence and have access to own vehicle.
• Willingness to work flexibly across departments.
• Adhere to health and safety procedures in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor filling machines and minding duties.
• Make basic machine setting adjustments and assist with changeovers after training.
• Fill products ranging from 3ml to 200ml and ensure quality standards.
• Label, pack finished products and perform tube testing and quality checks.
• Maintain housekeeping and follow health & safety procedures.
• Attend daily update meetings at 08:30 and meet daily production targets.

Key Duties

• Operating and monitoring filling machine.
• Machine minding and making basic machine setting adjustments
• Assisting with machine set-up and changeovers following training
• Filling products ranging from 3ml to 200ml
• Carrying out tube production and ensuring products meet quality standards
• Labelling and packing finished products into boxes
• Tube testing and quality checks
• Cleaning down machinery between production runs
• Working efficiently to meet daily production targets
• Maintaining excellent housekeeping and following health & safety procedures
• Attendance at daily update meeting at 0830

Requirements

• Work quickly, methodically and within a team
• Ability to concentrate whilst doing repetitive tasks and follow instructions
• A willingness to work flexibly across other departments
• Awareness of environmental pollution prevention and maintaining a clean working environment
• Previous production, manufacturing or machine minding experience - this is essential
• Must hold a full driving licence and have access to own vehicle - this is essential
• Full training will be given
