Job summary

Just Temps is seeking an experienced Machine Minder to join a manufacturing team on the outskirts of Ipswich, in Hadleigh, Suffolk. You will operate a filling machine, monitor performance, and support setup and changeovers after training.

The role requires previous production or machine minding experience, a full driving licence, and a willingness to work flexibly across departments. Regular hours apply with daily health and safety procedures emphasized.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor filling machine.
• Mind machine and make basic setting adjustments.
• Assist with machine set-up and changeovers after training.
• Fill products ranging from 3ml to 200ml.
• Carry out tube production and ensure quality checks.
• Label and pack finished products into boxes.
• Clean down machinery between production runs.
• Attend daily update meeting at 0830.

Contract:Full-time, Temp to Perm

Pay Rate:£12.71 -£13.08 per hour (circa £26,000 per annum when perm)

Days / Hours: 8.30am – 5pm Monday to Friday

Key Duties:

• Operating and monitoring filling machine.
• Machine minding and making basic machine setting adjustments
• Assisting with machine set-up and changeovers following training
• Filling products ranging from 3ml to 200ml
• Carrying out tube production and ensuring products meet quality standards
• Labelling and packing finished products into boxes
• Tube testing and quality checks
• Cleaning down machinery between production runs
• Working efficiently to meet daily production targets
• Maintaining excellent housekeeping and following health & safety procedures
• Attendance at daily update meeting at 0830

Requirements:

• Work quickly, methodically and within a team
• Ability to concentrate whilst doing repetitive tasks and follow instructions
• A willingness to work flexibly across other departments
• Awareness of environmental pollution prevention and maintaining a clean working environment
• Previous production, manufacturing or machine minding experience – this is essential
• Must hold a full driving licence and have access to own vehicle – this is essential
• Full training will be given
