Job summary

2 Sisters Food Group in Thetford is seeking a Machine Minder to join our breaded/coated product centre of excellence. You will set up machines, perform prestart checks, changes of labels and rolls, and conduct quality inspections in a fast-paced, chilled environment.

The role operates on 4ON 4OFF shifts (AM 0600-1800 or PM 1800-0600) with opportunities for progression across our 18 UK and Ireland sites and within various departments.

Qualifications

• Good spoken and written English.
• Experience in problem solving.
• Comfortable working in a chilled environment.
• Willing to work 4ON 4OFF shifts.
• Previous factory/warehouse experience useful but training provided.

Responsibilities

• Carry out machine set up and prestart checks; ensure machine is safe to operate.
• Carry out label and film roll changes.
• Carry out label print and verification checks, final product quality inspection.
• Ensure machine operates at maximum efficiency and follows Standard Running Conditions.
• Maintain GMP and hygiene & Health and Safety standards.
• Support FLM to ensure smooth and safe delivery of production plan and required quality.

Packing AM 0600 - 1800 OR PM 1800 - 0600

The factory is a modern environment with very good working conditions.

As a Machine Minder your main responsibilities will be to:

• Carry out machine set up and prestart checks; ensure machine is safe to operate
• Carry out label and film roll changes
• Carry out label print and verification checks, final product quality inspection
• Ensure machine is operating at maximum efficiency and followStandard Running Conditionsset out by the department
• Ensure workplace maintains high standards of GMP and hygiene & Health and Safety
• Support FLM to ensure smooth and safe delivery of production plan and carrying required quality

Other tasks may include setting up and monitoring equipment, filling machines, paperwork, decanting ingredients, using the SAP system.

Qualifications

Our ideal Machine Minder will have:

• Passion for delivering our customer orders whilst making sure our high Health and Safety, Food Safety and Product Quality standards are met.
• A good standard of spoken and written English and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively
• Experience of problem solving and attention to detail
• You will be comfortable working in a chilled food processing environment.
• You will need to enjoy working at pace and have a keennessto take action and achieve results in afar moving business.
• Previous experience working in a factory or warehouse environment would be useful, but not essential, as full training will be provided.
