JAM Recruitment Ltd in Bilston is seeking a Machine Minder for a food manufacturing plant. You will cover AM or PM shifts, Monday to Friday, with Saturday daytime work, earning an hourly base rate between £13.01 and £16.24 plus overtime and benefits.

Qualifications

Job description

Machine Minders are needed at a food manufacturing company in Bilston. This permanent, full-time position offers morning shifts from 5.15am to around 2.45pm or evening shifts from 2pm to 10.30pm, Monday to Friday, with Saturday hours from 9am to 5pm. The hourly rate ranges from £13.01 to £16.24 for Saturday work, plus overtime and benefits, depending on the level (Level 1 to 3) of the role.

The Role:

Ensure that the production line is operating smoothly and correctly, and any issues are reported
Perform start-up and close down check procedures
Complete routine maintenance of specific line equipment
Analyse, interpret and report live data for performance evaluation
Deliver the department daily plan
Maintain, monitor and achieve operational targets
Monitor and improve product quality
Complete line quality checks (CLS)
Perform production process checks in the department
Continuously identify and implement workplace improvements
Maintain and promote measures that support waste minimisation and sustainability in operations
Support internal and external audits
Support GMP in the department
To ensure that photographic standards are adhered to and that customer specifications are followed
To undertake such other duties as may be reasonably required for the effective operation of production
To work as part of a team and effectively communicate with all colleagues, Supervisors and Management staff
Keep training records up to date.

Your Experience:

Experience as a Machine Minder or similar machine maintenance role within a manufacturing, industrial or similar environment
Experience in performing start-up and close-down checks
Routine maintenance experience
Background in engineering
Vocational engineering qualification e.g. NVQ, BTEC, HNC etc would be highly beneficial
Happy to work either morning shifts, or afternoon shifts including Saturday days
Strong communicator with ability to work effectively with colleagues
