Job summary

Taiko Acton is recruiting a Machine Minder to run and maintain food production machinery on a 4 on 4 off night shift. You’ll work with production operatives, engineers and the quality team to keep machinery set up and operating to high standards, supporting consistent product quality and output.

Ideal candidates will have a mechanical engineering qualification, experience in food manufacturing or FMCG, and be comfortable in a fast-paced, chilled environment with strong hygiene awareness and good

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain food production machinery during your shift.
• Carry out basic machine setups, adjustments, and troubleshooting.
• Complete pre-start checks and routine line changeovers.
• Report any mechanical faults to the engineering team.
• Ensure production targets and quality standards are consistently met.
• Keep accurate production and machine downtime records.
• Adhere to food safety, health & safety, and hygiene standards.
• Support a clean-as-you-go culture and collaborate with other departments.

About You

• Previous experience operating machinery in a food manufacturing or FMCG environment preferred.

Key Responsibilities

As a Machine Minder, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient running of food manufacturing machinery. You’ll work closely with production operatives, engineers, and the quality team to ensure that all machinery is set up and operated to the highest standards to support consistent product quality and output.
