Job summary

Taiko is seeking a Machine Minder to ensure the safe and efficient running of our food manufacturing machinery. You will work with production operatives, engineers, and the quality team to set up and operate equipment to high standards, supporting consistent product quality and output.

The role requires you to operate and monitor machinery, perform basic setups and troubleshooting, and complete pre-start checks on a 4-on 4-off night shift, balancing work-life with a mechanical engineering

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating machinery in a food manufacturing or FMCG environment preferred.
• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced, chilled environment.
• Strong awareness of food hygiene and health & safety practices.
• Flexible, reliable, and a team player.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Opportunities for training, development, and career progression.
• Must have a mechanical engineering qualification.
• 4 on 4 off night shift pattern giving you a good work-life balance.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain food production machinery during your shift.
• Carry out basic machine setups, adjustments, and troubleshooting.
• Complete pre-start checks and routine line changeovers.
• Report any mechanical faults to the engineering team.
• Ensure production targets and quality standards are consistently met.
• Keep accurate production and machine downtime records.
• Adhere to food safety, health & safety, and hygiene standards at all times.
• Support a clean-as-you-go culture and work collaboratively with other departments.

Key Responsibilities:
