Job summary

Connect Plus Services (CPS) is seeking a Recovery Operative to support the M25 DBFO network. You will respond to road traffic incidents, perform safe vehicle recoveries, and help keep the network moving while following CPS policies and safety rules.

Based in Dartford, you’ll work flexible shifts, travel across the M25, and participate in winter maintenance duties. Training and competency maintenance are required for ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• UK Driving Licence with Category C+E (LGV Class 1) is essential.
• IVR Levels 1–3 are required.
• Driver Qualification Card (CPC) is required.
• CSCS Operative Card is required.
• Appropriate manual handling qualification is required.
• Appropriate lifting qualification is required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to road traffic incidents, hazards and collisions with recovery support.
• Safely recover light and heavy vehicles per CPS procedures.
• Help clear incidents quickly to minimize disruption.
• Complete accurate reports and data entry using mobile devices.
• Carry out routine vehicle and equipment inspections and ensure compliance with CPS procedures.
• Maintain up-to-date driving records and ensure equipment is safe.
• Identify and report issues affecting safe operation of the road network.
• Take responsibility for CPS assets and equipment.
• Report defects and replenish stock as required.
• Participate in the Winter Service rota.
• Attend training courses and maintain competencies.
• Demonstrate and promote the Balfour Beatty Values.
• Maintain a relentless focus on Zero Harm.
• Support CSUK sustainability activities.
