Job summary

Kier Group is recruiting an M&E Site Manager for the United Utilities AMP8 framework based in Warrington, Cheshire. You will lead day-to-day M&E site activities, coordinate subcontractors, maintain safety standards and drive delivery to programme and cost controls.

You will manage mobilisation through commissioning, ensuring quality, permits, RAMS and asset information are completed and available for handover. A Full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• HNC/NVQ Level 4 or degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Building Services or related discipline.
• SMSTS and CSCS Manager/Supervisor Card; full UK driving licence.
• Significant experience delivering M&E installation on water, wastewater, process or utility projects.
• Experience of multidisciplinary Design & Build in live operational environments.
• Proven ability to coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and commissioning teams.

• Provide visible leadership and day-to-day management of mechanical and electrical site activities, coordinating supervisors, engineers, operatives and subcontractors.
• Promote safety, environmental and quality standards, ensuring CDM RAMS, permits and isolations are in place.
• Deliver M&E installation works from mobilisation through construction to completion with progress records and corrective actions.
• Coordinate interfaces between M&E, civil construction, commissioning and operational activities and ensure material readiness.
• Support testing, commissioning and handover activities with inspection records and asset information.

Job description

We're looking for a M&E Site Manager to join our United Utilities AMP8 framework team based in Warrington, Cheshire.

Location: Warrington, Cheshire
Hours: 45 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

Working on the United Utilities AMP8 framework, you'll take day-to-day responsibility for the safe, efficient and right-first-time delivery of mechanical and electrical installation activities on water and wastewater infrastructure projects. You'll lead site-based M&E delivery, coordinate subcontractors and direct resources, ensuring that works are completed safely, to programme, within agreed cost controls and to the required quality standards. Using your experience of multidisciplinary Design & Build delivery in live operational environments, you'll manage M&E activities from mobilisation and installation through inspection, testing, commissioning, handover and operational acceptance.

What will you be responsible for?

As a M&E Site Manager, you'll be working within the United Utilities AMP8 framework team, supporting them in delivering safe, efficient and right-first-time mechanical and electrical installation activities on water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Your day to day will include:

• Providing visible leadership and day-to-day management of mechanical and electrical site activities, coordinating supervisors, engineers, operatives and specialist subcontractors
• Promoting and delivering exceptional safety, environmental and quality standards, ensuring compliance with CDM requirements, approved RAMS, permits and isolations
• Managing the delivery of M&E installation works from mobilisation through construction completion, maintaining progress records and implementing corrective actions when needed
• Coordinating interfaces between M&E works, civil construction, commissioning and operational activities, ensuring materials and resources are available to support planned installation dates
• Supporting testing, commissioning and handover activities, ensuring inspection records, test certificates and asset information are completed and available when required

What are we looking for?

This role of M&E Site Manager is great for you if you hold:

• HNC, NVQ Level 4, degree orequivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, Construction Management or a related discipline
• SMSTS and anappropriate CSCS Manager or Supervisor Card, plus a Full driving licence
• Significant experience managing M&E installation activities on complex water, wastewater, process, utilities or industrial projects
• Proven experience of multidisciplinary Design & Build delivery in live operational environments
• Demonstrable experience coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, designers, commissioning teams and operational stakeholders
