Job summary

VanRath is assisting a large Public Sector organisation in Belfast to recruit an M&E Quantity Surveyor for an initial 6-12 month contract with strong likelihood of extension and a permanent role. The role focuses on cost management across a dispersed team within Infrastructure and Capital Development.

The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Quantity Surveying (or MRICS) with extensive post-qualification experience, NEC4 contract knowledge, and a track record in cost plans, tender reports, and

Qualifications

• Experience providing cost management for infrastructure projects
• Knowledge of NEC4 contracts and compensation events
• Ability to prepare feasibility cost options and tender reports
• Experience with final accounts and MTC (mechanical/electrical)

Responsibilities

• Provide cost management for a dispersed team across Major/Minor functions
• Prepare feasibility cost options for Minor Works projects
• Prepare price lists and pretender estimates; tender reports
• Administer NEC4 contracts and assess valuations
• Administer Measured Term Contracts (MTC) for mechanical and electrical
• Report on outturn costs and administer final accounts
• Assess compensation event quotations
