Salter Grange is currently recruiting an M&E Contracts Manager to join a leading MEP Contractor delivering innovative projects within the Residential, Commercial, and Data Centres sector.

Ideally, candidates will have experience working as a M&E Contracts Manager on large-scale industrial and commercial projects and come from a Mechanical background.

As a M&E Contracts Manager, you will manage the delivery of projects and project teams from early design phase to handover and oversee the installation/management of Mechanical & Electrical systems on site.

The successful M&E Contracts Manager will oversee 3-4 projects with values from £300k to £5M.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop the site management team to ensure timely project delivery.
• Maintain regular communication with clients through online or face-to-face meetings and on-site discussions to ensure satisfaction with progress and upcoming work forecasts.
• Ensure site teams work efficiently and meet high-level objectives within target dates.
• Verify that site teams are using the correct revision of drawings.
• Collaborate with the project coordinator to ensure all high-level templates (e.g., material trackers, programmes, lessons learned) are prepared for the construction team.
• Procure plant and equipment in line with specifications and client requirements.
• Track costs (material and labour) in collaboration with the commercial team to ensure projects are delivered within budget.
• Assess labour and subcontractor requirements for various installation tasks and support team development and expansion.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Proven ability to manage site programmes and schedules to meet deadlines.
• Experience managing multiple subcontractors and projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work closely with the design team to ensure high-standard project delivery.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both internally and externally with clients.
