My client is looking for 5 x M&E Construction Managers to be based in London starting ASAP.

Summary

Reporting to the Project Manager, responsible for managing and coordinating all activities at a job site, including overseeing trades, apprentices, and labourers.

Establish and adjust work timelines to meet the construction schedule, and organise and coordinate all project materials and equipment.

Ensure all work installed complies with client standards, and is completed on budget, on time, and according to all applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards.

As a key team member, the Construction Manager will exemplify the company's values of integrity, dependability, safety, pride, and quality.

Knowledge required:

Roles and responsibilities:

• Taking responsibility for health and safety on site
• Leading by example—setting, monitoring, and enforcing safety and quality standards
• Supporting the Project Manager in managing on-site personnel
• Leading on-site activities and ensuring adherence to safety plans and rules
• Ensuring employees have relevant training and expertise
• Managing on-site labour resources for efficiency
• Completing and submitting timesheets accurately and on time
• Liaising with payroll for site-related queries
• Maintaining discipline, reporting incidents, and taking appropriate action
• Managing and training apprentices according to training standards
• Assisting in planning labour and material resources
• Using purchasing systems to acquire materials cost-effectively
• Maintaining and securing all plant and equipment; off-hiring when finished
• Reducing costs wherever possible
• Checking materials before installation for compliance and quality

• Advising the project manager of any work outside the scope of tender
