Job summary

Fusion People seeks a seasoned Commercial Lead for M&E to head the commercial function across major regional projects in the North East. You will drive profitability, cost control and contractual compliance, coordinating with operations, pre-construction, and senior leadership to deliver successful outcomes.

The role requires significant senior commercial experience in M&E/building services, strong leadership of commercial teams, and expert knowledge of NEC/JCT contracts.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in a senior commercial role within M&E / building services.
• Strong understanding of NEC and/or JCT forms of contract.
• Proven track record managing commercial delivery of high-value construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial management of M&E projects from pre-construction through final account.
• Develop and implement commercial strategy across multiple projects.
• Oversee procurement of subcontractors and major supply chain packages.
• Manage project budgets, forecasting and financial reporting.
• Act as senior commercial interface with clients, consultants and supply chain partners.
• Drive continuous improvement within commercial processes and governance.
