Job summary

WBR Group is seeking a commercially minded M&A & Strategic Projects Manager to provide hands-on support across the Group’s acquisition, proposition and transformation agenda. The role emphasizes opportunity evaluation, due diligence, execution and practical integration planning rather than deal origination.

Initially focused on strategic projects and M&A activity, you will work with senior stakeholders and external advisers, driving actions through to completion.

Qualifications

• Exposure to acquisitions, due diligence, transaction execution or post-acquisition integration.
• Strong numerical and analytical ability.
• Excellent organisation and the ability to manage several workstreams simultaneously.
• Ability to interrogate information, identify gaps and ask effective questions.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Excellent written communication, with the ability to summarise complex information clearly.
• Commercially curious and able to learn unfamiliar areas quickly.
• Confident working with senior stakeholders while remaining prepared to get into the detail.

Responsibilities

• Support assessment of potential acquisition opportunities, coordinating commercial and financial analysis.
• Coordinate due diligence workstreams with internal and external stakeholders.
• Review and analyse information with internal SMEs and external advisers.
• Maintain due diligence trackers, risks, dependencies and information requests.
• Distil complex information into findings, recommendations and decisions for senior stakeholders.
• Support transaction execution through to completion.
• Develop and improve WBR’s M&A playbook and tools.
• Develop practical integration plans for acquired businesses and portfolios.
• Coordinate delivery across subject matter experts while ensuring accountability.
• Maintain visibility of actions, risks, dependencies and decisions.
• Identify delivery issues early and escalate as needed.
• Track progress against integration priorities.
• Communicate with employees, clients, advisers and other stakeholders.
