Job summary

Fears Watch Company in Bristol is seeking a committed Watch Assembly Technician to join the Operations Department. You will assemble watches, maintain the workshop, prepare build kits and manage component stock while upholding quality standards.

The role reports to the Operations Manager, offers a 40-hour week, Monday–Friday, with commence date in late August, and includes holiday allowance, a company pension and a watch-purchase scheme.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Assembly Watchmaker or Repair Technician working on luxury watches is essential.
• WOSTEP / BHI diploma or certification is desirable but not essential.
• Essential: impeccable attention to detail, highly organised and self-motivated.
• Desirable: computer literacy in MacOS and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Timely and efficient assembly of Fears watches in line with quality standards.
• Compile build‑kits of components and record stock transfers accurately.
• Ensure smooth assembly and adherence to the schedule.
• Maintain a clean workshop and properly service tools and equipment.
• Quality control of components and final watches; keep failure rate under 1%.
• Carry out testing of components, movements and water resistance.
• Perform final regulation to match movement specifications.
• Support customer satisfaction by minimizing aftersales issues.
• Notify Operations Team of any quality concerns or delays.
• Maintain accurate stock records and stock transfer logs.
