Job summary

The Old Course Hotel in St Andrews is seeking a friendly Spa Receptionist for Kohler Waters Spa. You’ll be the first point of contact for guests, handling inquiries, bookings and guiding them through our treatments and facilities.

Casual and part-time contracts available. The role requires excellent communication, a proactive service attitude and the ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience – Reception / Spa Reception experience is preferred
• Good time management including treatment times; excellent attendance
• Excellent interpersonal skills and feel at ease with people from all walks of life
• Enthusiasm
• Committed to providing a first-class welcome, and ensuring guests leave satisfied
• Ability to deal calmly but firmly with the occasional “difficult” guests thereby reaching a satisfactory outcome
• Flexible approach to the job and be able to work a variety of hours including evenings and weekends
• Computer literate
• Be able to work as part of a team
• Be an excellent communicator but also a good listener
• Be tactful and aware of the need for confidentiality
• Have a smart appearance and good personal hygiene.

Responsibilities

• The first point of contact for all guests whether in person, by phone or by email
• Providing excellent customer service to all members and guests from the moment they walk through the door
• Scheduling all appointments via telephone and email
• Corresponding with Sales and Reservations Teams
• Sharing information and knowledge of all treatments, facilities and products within the Spa
• Providing an orientation for all guests visiting our Spa
