Job summary

Old Course Hotel in St Andrews is recruiting Housekeeping Assistants for day, evening and night shifts. Reporting to the Head Housekeeper, you will help maintain 5 Red Star standards in guest bedrooms, suites, public spaces and overnight operations.

You’ll be an enthusiastic, organised and hardworking team player who can follow instructions and deliver warm, personalised service while upholding safety and cleanliness across the resort.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and presenting guest bedrooms, suites and public areas to our 5 Red Star standards.
• Servicing guest rooms and carrying out evening turndown preparations.
• Maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of corridors, elevators, restaurants and other public spaces.
• Ensuring assigned areas are fully stocked, organised and ready for guest use.
• Following daily schedules and prioritising tasks to ensure all work is completed efficiently.
• Delivering warm, professional and personalised service to every guest.
• Maintaining equipment, following health and safety procedures and supporting the wider Housekeeping team as required

About The Role

Our Housekeeping Team has a number of permanent opportunities available for Housekeeping Assistants across a variety of day, evening and night shifts. Reporting to the Head Housekeeper and Housekeeping Supervisors, you'll play an important role in maintaining the exceptional standards our guests expect throughout the Old Course Hotel, creating memorable experiences from arrival through to departure. Opportunities are available within guest bedrooms and suites, public areas and overnight cleaning operations.

Your responsibilities can include:

• Cleaning and presenting guest bedrooms, suites and public areas to our 5 Red Star standards.
• Servicing guest rooms and carrying out evening turndown preparations.
• Maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of corridors, elevators, restaurants and other public spaces.
• Ensuring assigned areas are fully stocked, organised and ready for guest use.
• Following daily schedules and prioritising tasks to ensure all work is completed efficiently.
• Delivering warm, professional and personalised service to every guest.
• Maintaining equipment, following health and safety procedures and supporting the wider Housekeeping team as required

About You

You’ll be an enthusiastic, organised and hard-working individual, who can follow instructions to work independently but can also work well as part of a team. You’ll also be a confident communicator who prides themselves of providing excellent customer service. Although recent relevant working experience is preferred, we offer full training for this role.

Hours

We have a range of permanent opportunities available across our Housekeeping team, with both full-time and part-time positions across day, evening and night shifts available. Specific hours and shift patterns will be discussed during the recruitment process and matched to successful candidates based on the role and business requirements.

Salary

Nights - Full Time 40hrs £29,164.97 per annum

Day Shift - Full Time 40hrs £27,616.38 / Part Time 24hrs £16,573.44 per annum
