Job summary

Hand Picked Hotels is seeking a knowledgeable Sous Chef for Buckland Manor Hotel in Worcestershire. The role involves supporting an exceptional culinary experience, working closely with the Head Chef, and developing the team to maintain high standards in a luxury country-house setting.

The position offers a competitive salary (£39,000 per annum) plus service charge and a comprehensive benefits package, with 5 days a week across a permanent, full-time roster.

Qualifications

• Active and enthusiastic candidate with strong Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef experience in a multi-outlet rosette/Michelin hotel environment.
• Exposure to weddings, bespoke events and private dining, with a focus on precision, organisation and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of exceptional culinary experiences for guests.
• Assist Head Chef in overseeing food preparation and service.
• Lead and develop culinary team through training and guidance.
• Manage kitchen operations, monitor stock and costs, and liaise with suppliers.
