Job summary

Buckland Manor Hotel is seeking a knowledgeable Sous Chef to support the delivery of an exceptional dining experience in a luxury country house setting. You will work closely with the Head Chef to oversee food preparation, maintain high standards of presentation, and lead by example during service.

This full-time role is 40 hours per week, five days out of seven, with weekend shifts on a rota and a competitive £39,000 salary plus a share of service charge and colleague benefits.

Qualifications

• Active Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef experience in a multi-outlet rosette/Michelin hotel.
• Experience with weddings, bespoke events and private dining.
• Strong focus on precision, organisation and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of an exceptional culinary experience reflecting creativity and seasonal variety.
• Work with Head Chef to oversee food preparation, presentation and service.
• Lead by example during service and help develop the culinary team through training.
