Job summary

Encore is seeking an experienced Building Manager to oversee a high-end residential development in Portsmouth. You will manage day-to-day operations, maintaining the property to the highest standards and communicating proactively with residents through the online portal.

You will oversee maintenance, contractor management, site staff, safety compliance and regular inspections, using the Dwellant system to keep records up to date and provide timely updates to residents and the Estate Manager.

Qualifications

• Experience managing prestigious residential developments or projects of similar size and scope.
• Strong leadership skills with a track record of mentoring and developing a team.
• Contractor management experience, including assessment and approval of works.
• Financial management experience, reviewing site budgets and ensuring work stays within budget.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and repairs, including contractor management and ensuring safety compliance.
• Coordinate planned maintenance and obtain quotes/estimates for works.
• Manage front-of-house staff for parcel and key handling; welcome new residents and enforce house rules.
• Maintain proactive communication with residents via the portal; provide regular updates on building matters.
• Lead, mentor and manage on-site staff; conduct appraisals, manage rotas, holidays and performance.
